On one hand, booking a fishing trip in Dubai during summertime might sound ideal if you come from a country where rain, snow, and clouds are common and frequent. On the other hand, if you come from a country with a hot and dry climate, booking a winter fishing tour might be a more appealing option. However, the below advantages and disadvantages must be considered.
During summer, sea conditions in Dubai tend to be calm and favorable for fishing. Calm seas often provide a better fishing experience, and you are less susceptible to have your fishing trip ruined due to motion-sickness. However, in winter, sea conditions in Dubai tend to fluctuate quickly, and waves may occasionally be high enough to warrant cancelling your fishing charter.
During winter, cold temperatures bring life to the desert city of Dubai. Fishing boats tend to go out more often, and fish come back after escaping the summer heat in far away depths. With colder air and water temperatures, you are more likely to catch a lot more fish than you otherwise would have during summertime. However, especially during early morning fishing trips, you will probably need to bring good winter clothes to keep you warm while fishing, and particularly while the boat is moving.
During summer, you can be fishing and tanning at the same time! And that is a real advantage right there. However, if tanning while fishing is not your thing, you are advised to bring good quality UV-protective clothing and apply sun protection while on board. Bear in mind that summertime in Dubai can be too hot, however, you can always jump into the water for a quick refreshing dip!
