Fun facts

  • The Arabic name of Aroosa (عروسة) is a literal translation of ‘bride’ due to its prettiness and beauty.
  • It is a strong fighter when first hooked, however, it quickly tires out and becomes heavy to lift as it opens its big mouth, creating dynamic resistance while pulling it towards the surface.
  • It is a delicious fish to eat with soft flesh, preferably fried!
